Weed Warrior programs are gaining traction everywhere and our program in Rock Creek Park is very robust. So what does a weed warrior do? We are volunteers who assist the park with removal of invasive vegetation. We go through training and permitting to learn about tools, techniques, plant identification and so much more. It’s a terrific group of people, a lot of fun, and gives me great joy to know that I’m helping solve a problem and nurturing my little part of planet earth.
